NOTA: 9/10

Now that the Pride is almost here, I have decided to post the review of this magnificent film of protest, dignity and strength regarding the LGBTi + movement.
I was lucky to see its premiere at the wonderful Festival of San Sebastián, after a cold bath on the beach that thank God woke me up enough to enjoy this three-hour movie at midnight.
The incredible Robin Campillo created this beautiful film about struggle and activism. The most striking thing about this film is that the director himself lived it and joined the creation of the Act Up Paris. Along with Philippe Mangeot, young, activist and HIV-positive, they bring us this wonderful story of their own life.
We have a couple protagonising the film, but what stands out is that the collective portrait and the movement itself are the actual protagonists. The fight against AIDS and the rise of activism.
The film does not neglect individual feelings, but manages to combine everything in this wonderful film.
The cast is also magnificent, highlighting Nahuel Perez Biscayart and Adèle Haenel, the clear centers of the movement and whose performances are wonderful.
n terms of cinematography, color is essential and it is constantly controlled to adapt to the situation. Especially in the scenes of night, clubs and youth, where light and color reach their peak.
Without a doubt, it is not just a movie with a good story, but it also tells the story in a convincing and open way. The movie may be a bit long. But in years like these where the struggle for rights is so strong and is evolving so fast, a film like this will not leave anyone standing. I highly recommend watching this movie and if you can, watch it in French, because it gains a lot, and transmits a force that would move a whale.
