They're back! Finally, after a long wait after the first movie of the Avengers, yesterday I went to the premiere of the second one, "The Avengers: Age of Ultron".
I was sitting at the cinema, and I was feeling like I was the happiest person in the hole world, and I couldn´t wait for the movie to start, although I must admit I love seeing ads of upcoming movies on the big screen, and I think I should buy a special piggy bank for cinema.
The best heroes of Marvel (well, do not forget the X-Men), have returned, completing Phase 2 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, which will end this summer with Ant-Man, one of the causes of my need to buy a piggy bank.
The Avengers 2, directed by Joss Whedon, is a piece of art for Marvel lovers. It contains many points that can only be understood by those really loyal to this company, and in fact, to understand it properly, a basic knowledge of Marvel is needed, which is also negative because the film depends heavily on the previous installments, and it assumes some knowledge that only a few spectators will understand.
This movie leaves many open doors to the next film, which is not surprising, and refers not only to the Avengers 1 but also to the films of Thor, Hulk, Iron Man and SHIELD agents series.
The good thing about these films is that they have in mind where do they come from, the universe of Marvel.
Something great about this film is that it balances the weight between the characters, and does not focus only on some, giving greater weight to Hulk, Black Widow and my dear Hawkeye, who gain greater prominence.
In addition the Maximoff bothers, Scarlet Witch (Elisabeth Olsen) and Quicksilver (Aaron Taylor-Johnson), are well defined in the film and take on a key role in the development of the story.
The Vision also appears, and Paul Bettany makes an excellent interpretation of the role he has to play, leaving us wanting more.
In my opinion, Marvel has embroidery on this film, and definitely it´s worth seeing on the big screen, but not before taking a look at the previous films. It's a great movie, and certainly Whedon has outdone himself.
